STI-3 RQ Kit

Detection of Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Mycoplasma genitalium

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) represent a significant global public health concern. They can be caused by bacteria, viruses or parasites. The most common bacteria transmitted through sexual contact include Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Mycoplasma genitalium. Infected individuals may exhibit various symptoms; however, many cases remain asymptomatic. Delayed diagnosis and treatment may lead to serious and sometimes permanent health complications such as pelvic inflammatory diseases and infertility.

The STI-3 RQ kit offers a ready-to-use Multiplex Real-Time PCR assay for the detection of Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Mycoplasma genitalium.

Description

Advantages of STI-3 RQ Kit

Ready to Use

The STI Mix A contains all necessary reagents for Multiplex Real-Time PCR and is ready to use; no further reagent or mixing is required. Reactions are prepared simply by addition of the mix directly to the tubes followed by the sample DNA. Results are viewed in Green/FAM, Yellow/VIC, Orange/ROX and Red/Cy5 channels.

Internal Control

This Kit also incorporates an Internal Control (IC) to identify possible extraction failure or PCR inhibition and preventing false negative results.

Quality Control

The Control and Mix components of the STI-3 RQ Kit are manufactured in batches, with each batch being distributed only after successfully passing Quality Control tests for specificity, sensitivity, accuracy, and precision.

Easy & Quick Setup

Kit contains a template file for quick and easy setup of the Real-Time PCR instrument, also reducing setup errors.
