Enterovirus Detection Kit

Detection of Enterovirus
Enteroviruses are non-enveloped viruses with single-stranded RNA genomes. The genus Enterovirus is a member of the Picornaviridae family. Transmission primarily occurs via the fecal–oral route, although respiratory spread is also reported. While many infections remain asymptomatic or mild, enteroviruses can cause a broad clinical spectrum including, respiratory infection, aseptic meningitis, and acute flaccid paralysis. Because cell culture is time-consuming and has limited sensitivity, real-time reverse transcription PCR is recommended for rapid and accurate detection.
Please note that Enteroviruses and Rhinoviruses both belong to the Picornaviridae family and sequence similarity may lead to non-specific reactions. Therefore, the Enterovirus RQ kit may, in rare cases (particularly with respiratory samples) show cross-reactivity with certain rhinoviruses.
The Enterovirus RQ kit offers a ready-to-use Real-Time PCR assay for the detection of Enterovirus.

Description
Advantages of Enterovirus RQ Kit
Ready to Use
The Entero Mix contains all necessary reagents for Real-Time PCR and is ready to use; no further reagent or mixing is required. Reactions are prepared simply by addition of the mix directly to the tubes followed by the sample DNA. Results are viewed in Green/FAM and Yellow/VIC channels.
Internal Control
This Kit also incorporates an Internal Control (IC) to identify possible extraction failure or PCR inhibition and preventing false negative results.
Quality Control
The Control and Mix components of the Enterovirus RQ Kit are manufactured in batches, with each batch being distributed only after successfully passing Quality Control tests for specificity, sensitivity, accuracy, and precision.
Easy & Quick Setup
Kit contains a template file for quick and easy setup of the Real-Time PCR instrument, also reducing setup errors.
Kit specifications
Analytical sensitivity: 21 copies/µl for Enterovirus
Reaction type: Qualitative Real-Time PCR
Detection Method: TaqMan probe, Duplex (FAM, VIC)
Kit Contents
Kit contains PCR Mix and positive control and PCR grade water, manual, quick guide and a CD with template file.
