Brucella Detection Kit
Detection of Brucella
Brucella is a gram-negative bacteria that causes Brucellosis, one of the most common zoonotic diseases. Brucellosis is most prevalent in areas where people live in close contact with infected animals. Annually, about 500,000 new cases of human Brucellosis are reported worldwide. Consumption of contaminated milk or milk products, direct contact with an infected animal, or inhalation of aerosols are the main routes of transmission. Twelve species of Brucella have been identified of which Brucella melitensis, Brucella suis, Brucella abortus, and Brucella canis have moderate to significant human pathogenicity. Initial symptoms include fever, sweats, anorexia, headache, fatigue, and pain in muscles, joints and back.
Brucella RQ Kit provides a ready-to-use Real-Time PCR assay for detection of Brucella.
Category: Infectious Diseases
Description
Advantages of Brucella RQ Kit
Ready to Use
The Brucella Mix contains all necessary reagents for Real-Time PCR and is ready to use; no further reagent or mixing is required. Reactions are prepared simply by addition of the mix directly to the tubes followed by the sample DNA. Results can be viewed in Green/FAM and Yellow/VIC channels.
Internal Control
Kit also contains reagents for detection of DNA as Internal Control which is detected in Yellow/VIC channel. Internal Control prevents false negative results due to extraction failure, reaction inhibition or setup errors.
Quality Control
Control & mix of Brucella RQ Kit are manufactured in batches, and each series is distributed only after passing Quality Control tests for Specificity, Sensitivity, Accuracy and Precision.
Easy & Quick Setup
Kit contains a template file for quick and easy setup of the Real-Time PCR instrument, also reducing setup errors.
Kit specifications
Analytical sensitivity: 1 copy/µl for the cloned targets
Reaction type: Qualitative Real-Time PCR
Detection Method: TaqMan probe, Duplex (FAM, VIC)
Kit Contents
Kit contains PCR Mix and positive control and PCR grade water, manual, quick guide and a CD with template file.
